New Year’s Resolutions

New Year’s Resolutions

I am watching this video on Facebook from a Guy named Trent Shelton titled Stop Playing With Your Life and what I realize that his message is similar to what I live personally and professionally every day. “Staying loyal and true to your vision.” I teach this every day, sometimes formally in a classroom, at times informally professionally as a consultant, sometimes as a team member. It is said that the best leaders know how to follow. When it comes to leading your life, when should you follow your heart vs. your mind? Where is it appropriate to follow your gut, or to follow the data? Why should you support one person over the other?

I am watching this video on Facebook from a Guy named Trent Shelton titled Stop Playing With Your Life and what I realize that his message is similar to what I live personally and professionally every day. “Staying loyal and true to your vision.” I teach this every day, sometimes formally in a classroom, at times informally professionally as a consultant, sometimes as a team member. It is said that the best leaders know how to follow. When it comes to leading your life, when should you follow your heart vs. your mind? Where is it appropriate to follow your gut, or to follow the data? Why should you support one person over the other? It is also said that we are the sum of our choices. It is for that reason I will work tirelessly to show that project management is in everyday life. A vision or a “charter” is always something to be working towards. However the everyday person is not put in a scenario where they would want to, need to, or be forced to learn a formal system for ensuring that along the path towards your goal, here is how you manage the course effectively and here is why you want to use certain tools, and what those tools are. I hope, or no, my goal is that every time someone hears a message as inspirational as Trent’s, they have a way to push their actions towards to best path to success consistently. By the way, success is never guaranteed, however getting there or knowing your efforts will be worthless as fast as you can, is the guarantee. It’s up to you to decide. I always say the path to perfection is more important than perfection itself. If you need help with anything related to achieving your goals, reach out, and I will be glad to assist. My goal is to help you “Stay loyal and true to your vision."
